Independence Day 2019
in Albany, Oregon

So, for Independence Day this year we decided to go to "whatever Park" in albany but after packing all of all of our stuff over to the park we learned that we could not have our 11 (almost 12) year old retired service animal with us at this park on concert days so we ended up going to the park across the river with trish and karl in albany at Bryant Park where Karl life to go larping.

We threw Barbara, choice and cody a birthday party. I was a lot of fun. So this little idea was kinda hard. We thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate all of the birthday parties for the last 6 weeks at the sametime WHILE celebrating the 4th of july. I was up until 2:30am prepping food, decorating the birthday cake and getting all of the gift and stuff wrapped. My 13 year old told me that it was the best birthday they have ever had (12 out of 10!). So, I regret nothing!

While the kids where at the park they made enough friends that we were ready to have snacks and cake we didnt have to worry about left overs, because they brought all of the kids and their parents over to have bbq and cake.

After the crazy night prepping we decided that instead of trying to figure out what people wanted to eat, we agreed to take the safer bet so we settled with hot dogs and burgers (with all of the goodies), i made a veggie tray, some everything mac salad, a party plate of different mike-n-ikes and a pretzel tray. The kids devowered everything pretty quickly so im going to guess that everything was okay. lol

We stayed and watched the city firework show and by the time we got home we didn't have time to use the $50 walmart variety pack of fireworks and we still haven't been able to use all of them up.

Over all it was a really good Independence Day and im looking forward to another year of fun with this crazy family of mine!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe day!
