Majestic Falls Hiking Trip Lebanon, Oregon 07/11/2019 Today was a really fun day. Cody had the day off so we decided to take the girls hiking up at Majestic Falls in Lebanon, Oregon. Majestic Falls is the largest of several modest waterfalls along McDowell Creek within McDowell Creek Falls Park. While this was not one of the biggest waterfalls I have had the honor of seeing, Majestic Falls, is the best along McDowell Creek, and is one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the lower South Santiam drainage area. On the edge of the water there is a very a creative staircase and a nice observation deck, the falls drop 39 feet into a murky green pool at the head of a small bowl-shaped canyon and is an amazing thing to witness.  The kids really enjoyed being able to see all of the trees and taking pictures. Everything was so green. It was beautiful.  Totally worth it, getting to watch the kids get excited about nature. They really had a blast! We all had a lot of fun...

Our First Visit to the Sweet Home Elks Lodge and what I learned about it.  by Wanderer MoonChild The lumber olympics were this weekend here in Sweet Home and the Elk Lodge was offering breakfast at $7 per Adult and $3.50 per kid so I decided to use this event to get out into the town and try to explore the area. Cody and I decided not to tell the kids about my plans and we leave it a surprise. we woke them up with just enough time to get dressed, pack a day go bag and in the car. It was 100% worth it. they were all so excited to get to go out for breakfast and in one of the super, secret, cool kids club. Independence Day 2019 in Albany, Oregon So, for Independence Day this year we decided to go to "whatever Park" in albany but after packing all of all of our stuff over to the park we learned that we could not have our 11 (almost 12) year old retired service animal with us at this park on concert days so we ended up going to the park across the river with trish and karl in albany at Bryant Park where Karl life to go larping.  We threw Barbara, choice and cody a birthday party. I was a lot of fun. So this little idea was kinda hard. We thought it would be a fun idea to celebrate all of the birthday parties for the last 6 weeks at the sametime WHILE celebrating the 4th of july.  I was up until 2:30am prepping food, decorating the birthday cake and getting all of the gift and stuff wrapped.
